Breast Cancer Society of Canada - Annual Mother's Day Walk May 5th and May 12th, 2019 across Canada

Stepping Forward Together!
- Our annual 5K, Mother's Day Walk will take place in 10 cities across Canada this May to raise money for breast cancer research.

Please join us, on Sunday, May 5th and May 12th, as we walk with breast cancer survivors, families, friends, colleagues and corporate teams to raise money to fund life-saving breast cancer research. We will be walking in 10 different city locations across Canada over two weekends.
Although advancements have been made, breast cancer remains the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women, with 26,300 new cases in Canada this year. 1 in 8 women is likely to develop breast cancer in her lifetime.*
"Through research we have learned every breast cancer patient is different and a one-size fits all approach to treatment doesn't work," said Kimberly Carson, Breast Cancer Society of Canada CEO. "We have a 5-year plan to implement personalized medicine for breast cancer patients. Through our work and the support of our donors, patients will have the opportunity to enroll in cutting-edge clinical trials which will lead to the development of new targeted therapies – an extraordinary advancement," Carson added.
Cleo, a long-time sponsor of the Mother's Day Walk has raised almost $3M for the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. "We are passionate about supporting breast cancer research, a cause that is dear to many of our customers' hearts. It is our pleasure to celebrate and participate in Mother's Day Walk annually," says Cleo President, Lisa Hryciuk.
Visit mothersdaywalk.ca to register and set up your personal fundraising page to begin collecting pledges. Participants who meet tiered fundraising goals receive incentives including Cleo gift vouchers!
Start a new tradition this Mother's Day. Walk to support life-saving breast cancer research, because Research Matters. Register today!
