|FoodShare Toronto will celebrate its 30th anniversary|
FoodShare Toronto will celebrate its 30th anniversary by hosting a breakfast for community members, staff and volunteers on October 22nd. The event kicks off 30 Days of FoodShare and will feature delicious food selections from Field to Table Catering.
To commemorate the landmark day, FoodShare Toronto Executive Director Debbie Field will speak about FoodShare’s history, the current food system and actions needed to work towards a more just, resilient food system. While advances have been made in food programming, much is still to be done as thirteen percent of Canadians live in a state of food insecurity.

TDSB Chair Robin Pilkey
TDSB Trustee Marit Stiles
WHEN: October 22, 8:30-10am
WHERE: The event will be held at FoodShare, 90 Croatia Street, at 8:30am.
FoodShare Toronto is Canada’s original direct field to table Community Food Hub. Since 1985, FoodShare has modeled a food system that is sustainable and accessible to everyone. We deliver good healthy food, and food education to underserved schools and communities through programs focused in fresh produce distribution, food literacy education and nutrition, urban agriculture, and community cooking. All programs support a variety of health, economic, environmental, community, and social benefits, and seek to improve food access for people and communities currently under- served by the food system.
