Celebrate Canada Day at Queen’s Park
Ontario will host its annual Canada Day celebration on the front lawn of Queen’s Park in Toronto, with family-friendly live performances, rides and more.
This year’s event on Friday, July 1 includes performances by:
The casts of Fame The Musical and Alice in Wonderland
Canadian Beatbox Champion Scott Jackson, Anishnaabe dance artist Nimkii Osawamick and chanteuse Mélanie Brűlée
Brass band buskers Hogtown Sound.
Adults and children can:
Take part in interactive performance art workshops
Learn how to make crafts and create Mad Science experiments
Take a break in The Parent-Child Mother Goose Storytelling Program tent.
Festivities run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the official opening and 21-gun salute beginning at noon. Admission is free.

The Canada Day celebration at Queen’s Park has been a tradition since 1967.
Formerly known as “Dominion Day”, Canada Day marks the anniversary of the Constitution Act of 1867, joining Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec in confederation.
In 2017, Canada and Ontario will celebrate their 150th birthday.
