Call me on my name
My name is Latin, please, pronounce it Latin I want to hear its distinctive sounds; It’s my identity, my right of existence, my connection to my native land, a whisper from my universe to tame the distances;
it’s my pride of heritage, a blend with Mom’s voice, a vital need of Eastern sunshine
My vowels and consonants are crying for recognition, are thirsty of being heard Please ,call me on my name as I call on yours the way it is…
The Present Continuous Thought
IS that of balancing through unknown, of overlapping times and reschedule the internal clock; two continents like slices of watermelon welcoming the sunrise and rainbow colors;
IS that of living in two worlds and expressing yourself in different languages; two identities broken to pieces recreating a puzzle;
IS a continuous river flowing through your body with sediments of consciousness and unconsciousness feeding the memory, adding sparkles ,delights, reconstructing seasons;
IT’S an entity of measuring life , experiences, native places ,foreign lands… a type of mechanism for registering someone’s internal clock, heart pulsations, breathing in a new world.
