Metrolinx is one of the Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2014
TORONTO – November 27, 2013 - Metrolinx has been named one of the winners of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2014, a select group of organizations that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.
Metrolinx was recognized because it retains, motivates and attracts a talented workforce that is critical to its success in implementing a common vision for transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

The Greater Toronto’s Top Employers, organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, evaluates the employers using eight criteria, including physical workplace and work atmosphere, social, health, financial and family benefits, employee communications, training and skills development and community involvement. Employers in the Greater Toronto Area are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
Two of the strongest areas of success for Metrolinx are in community engagement and youth employment. The organization is deeply integrated and involved in the communities we live and work in: Metrolinx informs and engages people on transportation and transit projects, creates awareness of career paths within public transportation, promotes sustainable transit and developments, takes part in social events and local initiatives, and supports local communities through numerous fundraising efforts.
