Corneliu Chisu Acclaimed Conservative Candidate in Conservative Candidate in Pickering-Scarborough East
Corneliu Chisu, an active Professional Engineer and retired Major from the Canadian Forces, will be
Pickering-Scarborough East’s Conservative candidate in the next federal election.
“I would like to thank the riding association Board and the membership for supporting my candidacy,”
said Corneliu, “I will do all I can to serve the interests of the riding and win it for the Conservative
Party.
Corneliu has lived in the Pickering – Scarborough East riding for more than 20 years with his wife
Cecilia, a lecturer at the University of Toronto, and his daughter Marta, a lawyer, now living with her
husband in Markham.
Currently a Project Manager at GENIVAR, an engineering company, and elected Vice President of
Professional Engineers Ontario, Corneliu has made significant contributions to his profession and
adopted Country.
Educated in both Romania and Canada, Corneliu has successfully practiced engineering and promoted technology exchange on two continents. As a volunteer with the Cadets and The World
Genesis Foundation, he promotes youth education in Canada and on the world stage.
Corneliu has been recognized for his efforts and achievements with several awards both with the
Military for his service in the Balkans and Afghanistan (Kandahar) and in Canada where he has been
inducted into the Professional Engineers Ontario Order of Honour and as a Fellow of Engineers
Canada.
He is fluent in four languages; English, Italian, Romanian, Hungarian and has a working knowledge of
French, Russian, and German.
