The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival
Toronto’s longest running comedy festival is back, offering 12 days of hilarious live comics and side-splitting laughter! This Friday, the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival takes over Comedy Bar on Bloor St. for a double bill featuring two awesome acts.
Award-winning comedy duo Never Sad (Nehemiah Markos and Jed Feiman) are first up, bringing their lively New York-style to the 6ix.
Next, Johnnie McNamara Walker takes the stage, an openly-gay comic genius spilling the tea on what the Queer community really thinks about straight people in his segment titled “The Heterosexuals.”
The show begins at 9 p.m and tickets start at $25.
A Decades Dance Party: The Spring Forward Edition
Get ready for the ultimate throwback at A Decades Dance Party: The Spring Forward Edition!
Held inside Handlebar, this dance party is like no other. Kicking off at 8 p.m., every hour moves onto a new era of music, where you can groove to the most iconic tunes over the last six decades – from the 70s to the 2020s. The top of every hour also includes a confetti-fuelled countdown into the next decade.

A Starry Paint Night Workshop
Illuminate your evening at A Starry Paint Night on Friday!
This unforgettable paint night offers a guided sensory experience sure to bring out your inner artist. International Women’s Day March
March 8 marks International Women’s Day, and Toronto is ringing in the occasion with a march for equality!
Head down to the OISE Auditorium for a solidarity rally at 11 a.m. featuring activists, professionals, and artists. The march kicks off at 1 p.m., and attendees will make their way down to City Hall/Nathan Phillips Square in celebration of the achievements of women past, present and future!
Disney’s Encanto In Concert
The Casa Madrigal is heading to downtown Toronto! Get ready to watch the magic of Disney’s Encanto come to life in a truly unforgettable way.
This Saturday through Sunday, make your way to Roy Thomson Hall for a special screening of the award-winning film Encanto, where your Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) will perform the film’s enchanting score live. As you indulge in the movie on the big screen, you’ll still hear all the beloved dialogue and subtitles will be provided too. But the real magic happens when the TSO fills the hall with the iconic music that made Encanto a hit.
From immersing in fan-favourite tunes like “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” to simply enjoying the heartwarming story of the Madrigal family, this is an experience that’s sure to hit all the right notes!
There are three showtimes; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $139 and are available for purchase on the TSO website.

Chicago Sing-Along

Make your way to Hot Docs Cinema to sing your heart out to the hit movie musical Chicago. This spectacular 2002 film adaptation of the stage musical follows the tale of two starlets on death row for murder, as they compete in a media circus for the publicity that will save them from the gallows and make them stars.

Cooking Class on Home Canning: Red Onion Jam & Pickled Onions
