Stay healthy, joyful and hopeful this season and always!

Hello dear readers,
I would like to draw your attention on some neat little gadgets that can save you a lot of trouble during this cold season, and not only.
I wonder what you think about using a nasal irrigator (easier to employ and store than the Nettie Pot) a few days a week, and nasal and facial spa once a week (provided that the use of these nifty devices is not contraindicated) to prevent any cold and flare-ups of allergic reactions.
As there is no perfect solution to anything in this world, one should be cautious when using the nasal/facial spa if one has high blood pressure, or severe chronic headaches, or acute and severe sinus inflammation.
The nasal irrigator looks like a baby bottle, but has a long angled neck. I use it with a room temperature or lukewarm salted water (saline or use the salts in the little sachets that come with the irrigator). A few sprits in each nostril and you are done for the day. I won’t use it every day, especially if one is free of any symptoms, because we don’t want to wash away the natural biological mucosal defense barrier in the nose. If tolerated well I would put one or two (not more) drops of eucalyptus essential oil in the irrigating solution. It is antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory. It has also a nice aromatic and fresh scent. On the other hand, if you have a stuffy or runny nose, I would make it a daily routine until the symptoms subside.
As for the nasal/facial spa, the way I use it is to pour filtered water (to avoid or delay the corrosion of the metal surface) to half of the capacity in the warming- up reservoir, for one use. Secure the upper part of the device in place and place a face cleaning pad on the bottom. On the pad I add a few Himalayan salt crystals along with 1-2 drops (not more) of eucalyptus oil. Switch the device on and, once the steam arises, enjoy 5-10 minutes of nasal/facial treatment (if you are going to use the facial top, as I do, pending your sensitivity, you can keep your eyes open, or closed-if you are more sensitive). The heat and eucalyptus may irritate your open eyes, hence, use it with cautions.
I hope you are going to give them a try and benefit from their regular use, as much as I do.
Stay healthy, joyful and hopeful this season and always!
