Sonnet
The fall is here and I’m inspired to write.
Harmonious ways it likes to manifest:
Through burning colours of the leaves in light,
And through the moon at night, pale and depressed.
The long, warm, summer days are in the past,
And snow will lie on yellow-coloured leaves,
For such bright autumn days are not to last,
And soon come days of mittens and long sleeves!
But I shall look ahead and not behind,
For many hopeful days will come in time,
As Christmas days give joy to all mankind,
And days of spring, so lovely and sublime!
For I will look ahead for what’s to be,
And always live life joyful and carefree!
